Tralalala
Here's two random pages of my Purple Inspiration sketchbook... I've decided not to post the pages in chronological order like I used to, this way I can select what I find interesting on a particular day. Also pardon the horrible scans, its due to the way the sketchbook were constructed. But I like how it makes the sketches look more sketchy, if that makes sense, it adds a more DIY feel to them...
I don't think I'll be writing much in the next couple of days, I´m currently working on a small game prototype and trying to have it show-able by the end of next week. But I will still posts random sketches and maybe some screen shots! Till tomorrow!

Blog Reboot!
The time has come to reboot my blog! And with the reboot comes changes... first off, I'm gonna stop posting in Spanish, mainly due to the fact that my skills lack horribly. Writing in Spanish is like a Bakhtin induced nightmare, I find it difficult to chose words to express what I could have easily written in English. This brings us to the second change, the main reason for which the blog was created ( and written in Spanish) was to fulfill last year's course requirements. With said course over, the blog has been liberated from obscure school assignments! Hurray! Well now...I guess the third change will be the challenge of trying to post something every single day, which is not particularly hard, but what usually happens is that I put off posting one day, then I put it off the next day, and next thing I know a whole month has passed...
Well now it's time to talk about something interesting!
So one of the things I do is make little portable sketchbooks, the format varies from book to book, but they range from A5 to smaller then a standard poker card. And they're nothing out of this world, most of them are made with scraps of leftover materials, one tiny book for example, had about 100 pages but was made with only eight A4 sheets. Anyways, I first started making them so I could draw on the bus or while waiting for class to start, basically to kill time. As I finished filling the first one, I started to realize how much more comfortable I felt while drawing, I also found the strange little sketches that were produced during these short intervals very useful, especially when working on more polished drawings. So what I started doing was posting them, every day or two, kinda of like a dairy, a diary filled with strange random illustrations. I called it project notebook...and I still do. Since then, I've realized many important things about randomly sketching things in my mind, which I will post about as I post up drawings in my two most recent sketchbooks. One is called "mini long booklet of awesome love vomit", the other "Purple Inspiration".

I Am Error...
Como pueden ver he estado experimentando con Glitch Art, ademas de eso, gane un arbol en los Montes de Jerusalem...
Rescatamos un gato! Ya no vive con nosotros pero le encontramos un buen hogar...
Tambien fui al cumple de AtacaEsquimal, una super genia!
Luego contraje una enfermedad infecto contagiosa, lo cual fue horrible... antes de eso creo que fui a la apertura de la muestra en el EAC donde exponen gente salada como Elian Stolarsky... Y muchos antes que eso hice una nueva bitacora llamada "Visual Odes To The Random Number God".
Y bueno, ahora estoy esperando el verano....

Ear Sex!!!!
Yo soy un jazz noob... pero a medida que puedo, voy aprendiendo...
Y bueno aqui hay mas dibujitos del horrible "Ity Bity Char Book"...
Vamos a ver que paso esta semana... Apparentemente los omnibuses se empezaron achicar! Que horrible! Tambien vi un clon de Justin Bieber, era igualito, muy loco! Y se me acabo el chocolate en polvo, y ahora tengo que desayunar con café : (
...Ademas de todas esas cosas, termine el afiche que en que estuve trabajando para el concurso de maroñas, mañana es la premiación y estoy ansioso para ver los afiches de los demas y si el jurado le gusto el mio. Espero poder colgar el afiche en el blog mañana... de todas maneras voy a tomar fotos!
Todavia no me he puesto a hacer un nuevo cuadernito para bosquejar en el bus y antes de clase. Igual he estado dibujando en papels sueltos, que no es tan productivo, pero algo es algo. Tampoco he hecho dibujos mas pulidos, pero pronto los haré. Estaba pensando hacer un especie de jam de dibujo, tomar una semana y dedicarme hacer un dibujo pulido por dia, asi puedo mejorar un poco.
No se si acuerdan que les dije que estaba haciendo historietas para el Guacho 10, bueno logre terminar uno pero abondone el resto, eso fue hace varios meses atras y pense que ya habia cerrado el plazo de entrega...pero hace unos dias atras me llego un email que decia que todavia habia tiempo! Y yo dije "Huzzah! Otra oportunidad!"...bueno decidi terminar una de las historietas que habia abandonado y hacer algunos otros. Abajo pueden ver un pedazo la historieta que abondone, en realidad lo unico que le faltaba era agregarle algunos detalles, tambien decidi sacarle una pagina innecesaria.
Bueno me voy a poner a trabajar!!!!

Wilderness Sabbatical...

Bueno esta semana decidi faltar a clase para descansar, no de clase sino de las 4 horas de viaje hacia clase, y cuando digo descansar quiero decir que estuve enfrente la compu los ultimos 5 dias diseñado un afiche para el concurso de Maroñas. Espero que salga mejor que el que hice el año pasado...
Ademas de trabajar en el afiche, tambien estuve planeado una presentacion sobre mi vision de el futuro de videojuegos indie para clase... que no esta yendo muy bien...pero uno de los compañeros de clase, Guillermo ha realizado un serie de entrevistas llamado "La Vida en Cuadritos" que gira entorno de las historietas en Uruguay, que es realmente es muy bueno y se los recommiendo.
Yo mientras estoy intentando ver como puedo transmitir lo que son los videojuegos indie, a personas que nunca ha jugado un videojuego... algo terriblemente dificil...y complicado mas aun ya que el mundo de los videojuegos esta en ingles y traducir es muy complicado...pero hare mi mejor intento. En el proceso encontre este video hecho por PBS, que esta solo en ingles, pero sencillamente describe los videojuegos indie.
Tambien hay un documental que probablemente sera subtitulada cuando salga es "Indie Games: The Movie" que sigue varios desarolladores indie, principalmente Team Meat(Edmund McMillen, Tommy Refenes) y Polytron(Phil Fish, Renaud Bédard, Rich Vreeland) y Jonathan Blo mientras trabajan en sus juegos Super Meat Boy, Fez, y Braid respectivamente. El documental esta realizado por dos personas James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot, nacio en kickstarter y tiene un fuerte apoyo de la comunidad de indie gamers.
Despues tenemos Mega 64, para los que no los conocen ellos son un grupo de personas que hacen audiovisuales, generalmente parodias(en la via publica) principalmente de videojuegos, cada tanto tratan el tema de los juegos indie, y los resultados son muy divertidos...

Y ahora, un gran desperdicio de tinta china, algunas paginas del Ity Bity Char Book!
